An Interim Executive Board has been appointed.
Beverly Jones (Chair)
Beverly is a former Principal of a high-performing Community College, Director of a Multi-Academy Trust, Governor of a Primary School and a 6th Form College. She was a Government Advisor (2004-2012), leading the implementation of change programmes across 11 local authorities in the East of England for education provision from 0-19 – this included acting as Chair for all the Local Safeguarding Board Chairs across the East of England region. Through her relationship with the Regional Schools Commissioner and Directors in Norfolk County Council, she was also appointed as Chair of the Educate Norfolk Strategic Partnership Group (2013-2017).
Holly has a background in training and development as well as being the Vice Chair of Governors at a primary converter academy. Holly was part of her current school’s improvement and conversion journey which has secured the school’s sustainable future. Since January 2020, Holly has been the Area Lead Governance Adviser for Peterborough and Fenland – leading on service delivery and improvement within these areas.
Phil has worked in secondary education for over thirty years as a teacher, adviser, senior leader and Headteacher, with a constant focus on improving teaching and learning, raising standards and developing leadership at all levels within schools. Phil has led his most recent school through a successful OFSTED inspection and has worked closely with governing bodies on developing policy and practice. Phil was a Consultant Headteacher on the Cambridgeshire Building Schools for the Future project and has previously worked as a subject adviser, working with schools in all phases of education. Most recently, Phil has joined Cambridgeshire County Council as a Leadership Adviser within the School Improvement directorate.
Sara is the Education Safeguarding Manager for Cambridgeshire having previously taught for 17 years in a mainstream secondary school, also undertaking the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead for 10 years. Her current role includes training staff in schools, training Designated Safeguarding Leads and providing advice and guidance to support all educational establishments fulfil their statutory safeguarding duties.
Alison was appointed as an Ely Diocese Regional Advisor (EDRA) in 2015 where she has successfully supported the development of a number of Church schools, assisting Headteachers and governing bodies with issues relating to the curriculum, governance and leadership. Alison’s background and experience will also support the Christian distinctiveness and character of this Voluntary Controlled school.
