Eynesbury School prayer and Eynesbury School song
Our School Prayer
O Lord, Bless our School,
that working together and playing together,
we may learn to serve you
and to serve one another
Amen.
Our School Prayer is sung to the music written by Mr Graham Westcott.
We are learning how to sign our School Prayer using a mixture of Makaton and BSL signs.
O Lord Bless our School
The Eynesbury School Song written by Emily Wainwright (ex-pupil)
As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations of the school building (2015), we commissioned past pupil, Emily Wainwright, to write a song using ideas from the children. We launched the school song at our Rededication Service led by the Bishop of Ely, Bishop Stephen. We now regularly sing our school song during Collective Worship. Thank-you to Emily for creating such an amazing song.
Eynesbury School Song
Here we stand, our eyes on the horizon
Hand in hand, a patchwork of fingerprints slowly rising
A brand new page, the kindling of a flame,
It’s a knowledge and imagination place,
An open door, I’m more than just a name
The home that puts a smile on each face.
Our voices sing out a grateful sound
As we find our feet on the solid ground
We grow and pray and let our thoughts be free
A building block to a open mind, a safe place that will help us find
Who we are and where we want to be.
Standing tall, we learn together, all for one
One for all, we pray together, sure as the rising of the sun.
What the future holds, we wish it could be clearer
We’ll make it there with spirit in our minds
The life we’ve made, reflecting like a mirror
We’ll face the world with courage we can find!
Our voices sing out a grateful sound
As we find our feet on the solid ground
We grow and pray and let our thoughts be free
A building block to a open mind, a safe place that will help us find
Who we are and where we want to be.
